Additional FAQs
Do you serve clients in all 50 states?
Yes. Thryve works with clients across the United States. All services are handled remotely via email, phone, and our secure online portal.
How do I contact support?
You can contact us by scheduling an appointment or sending a message through our contact page. We’re fast, responsive, and here to help.
Do you dispute online or by mail?
Both. We primarily dispute by mail because it provides a stronger legal record, but we also dispute online when it helps move things faster. This tag-team approach ensures your disputes get the best shot at fast results.
What happens after my credit is repaired?
Once your negative items are removed, we shift into strategy mode. We'll guide you on how to:
- Keep your credit clean and protected
- Use tools to monitor your score monthly
- Add strong accounts to build your score (credit cards, loans, etc.)
Our goal is long-term growth, not just short-term fixes.
Do you offer tools to help improve my score?
Yes — we recommend secured cards, rent-reporting programs, credit builder loans, and more. Contact us for current recommendations based on your file and goals.
Advanced Credit Repair FAQs
Can I still work on my credit while enrolled in Full-Service?
Absolutely. You can continue building positive credit (like adding secured cards or keeping balances low) while we handle disputes. Just let us know so we can coordinate and avoid sending conflicting letters.
What if I have multiple late payments?
We dispute each late payment individually. Depending on how they’re reported, we may challenge their accuracy, age, or verifiability. Some creditors remove them. Others verify. We keep fighting every round.
Do you work on student loans?
Yes, we can dispute inaccurate student loan reporting (like late payments or default status). We cannot remove legitimate balances or current loans unless they contain reporting errors.
Can you remove collections that have been paid?
Possibly. Just because something is paid doesn't mean it's reporting correctly. We challenge inaccurate balance amounts, dates, account ownership, and more. If a paid collection still contains errors, we’ll dispute it.
Will paying off debt help my score?
Sometimes — but not always. Paying off collections or charge-offs doesn’t remove them. They’ll still show up as “Paid Collection” unless disputed. We guide you through which debts are better left alone and which to tackle.
Can repossessions or bankruptcies be removed?
We’ve had success removing both in certain cases — especially when documents are outdated or incomplete. Every case is different, but if anything is inaccurate or unverifiable, it can be challenged.
What if I had identity theft?
Identity theft is handled differently. We’ll guide you on the proper FTC identity theft affidavit and reporting process. We can dispute fraudulent accounts after you’ve submitted a police report and affidavit.
What happens if something we delete comes back?
Sometimes deleted accounts reappear if a creditor re-verifies the debt. We monitor this. If it returns, we dispute again with updated strategies and language.
Can I get tradelines from Thryve?
We don’t sell tradelines. But we do help you identify safe, compliant options to build new credit — like secured cards, self-lender accounts, or rent-reporting tools. We’ll suggest the best path for your situation.
Will opening new credit cards help my score?
In the long term — yes. Responsible new accounts help build positive history. But we advise waiting 30–60 days after deletions to apply, and we’ll tell you when it’s time to safely build.
Can I see what’s been disputed?
Absolutely. You’ll have a secure client portal with monthly updates showing what was disputed, what was removed, and what’s still in progress.
How often do you send disputes?
We send out disputes every 30–35 days — that’s the legal window for each round. Sending them too fast can be flagged as frivolous, so we follow a proven timeline.
What if I miss a credit monitoring payment?
We won’t be able to access your reports to send new disputes. You’ll get notified immediately and have the chance to reconnect. Once fixed, we resume work the same month.
What credit monitoring do you use?
We partner with Credit Hero Score — $1 trial for the first week, then $19.99/month. This platform provides 3-bureau reports and scores we can legally use to file disputes.
Do you call the bureaus?
No. All disputes are sent in writing — that’s what holds up in court and under FCRA compliance. Phone calls don’t leave a paper trail and aren’t recommended.
What if my score drops after a deletion?
It can happen short-term. Some accounts (even negative ones) contribute to average age or utilization. We coach you through score recovery with strategic rebuilding.
